How to select all on Mac shortcut for files folders text in Word

We are mainly used to Windows environment and we know that in order to execute a select all function in Windows pc we have to either right click our mouse to choose select all option or we use Ctrl + A key on our keyboard to select all files and folders or text in a Word document.

But when we switch to Mac we are mainly confused that what are the functions of Mac in order to execute the same command.

Today I am going to show you the keyboard and mouse short cuts for Mac to execute the select all function.

I will be showing you two examples, where in the first example I will show you how to select all texts in a word document or a web page using keyboard and mouse.

In the second example I will show you how to select all files and folders in Mac using your keyboard or mouse.

How to select all on Mac - For Word document / Web page

There are several steps which we need to follow to select all on Mac in Word document using keyboard and mouse shortcuts.

They are as follows:-

1. Using Mouse or Trackpad: First you have to locate the texts which you want to select. It can either be a Word document file or a web page or any where else. You have to just locate the text and right click your mouse on an empty space and choose select all option from the list and this will highlight the text in blue color and the text will get selected.

2. Using Keyboard: Now there is another shortcut method using keyboard to select all on Mac. In this method you have to locate the text which you want to select and press Command ⌘ + A key on your keyboard. This will highlight the text in blue color and the text will get selected as shown in the image below. 
So these were the two shortcut method to select all text on a Word document in or a Web page in Mac using your mouse, trackpad or keyboard.

How to select all on Mac - For Files and Folders

Now I am going to show you how to select all files and folders in Mac using mouse, trackpad or keyboard shortcuts as follows:-

1. Using Mouse or Trackpad: Locate the files and folders which you want to select, right click on an empty space anywhere inside that folder and choose select all from the list.

The files will be highlighted in blue color and get selected. See image below for example:-


2. Using Keyboard: Open the folder in which your files are located which you want to select. Press Command ⌘ + A key on your keyboard to select all files. The files will get highlighted in blue color and get selected.
