How to Save a Web Page as PDF to View it Offline

Many people like you and me comes across web pages which you want to save so that you can use it later. The most easiest solution to this problem is to create a PDF file as it can be easily viewed and you can also send it as a soft copy to anybody.

College and school students also want to save webpages as PDF so that they can refer it offline later for their project work.

This is quite a simple task, but sometimes it happens that easy things also look so difficult and you have to search on internet for help
In this post I will show you how to save a web page as a PDF to view it offline using Chrome browser. In my earlier post I have written about how to open SoundCloud Desktop site on mobile.

How to Save a Webpage as PDF to View it Offline Later

You will need a Google Chrome browser for this method to work. If you don't have Chrome browser, then you can download it here.



1. Launch Chrome browser and open the webpage you want to save as PDF.

2. Click on the 3-dot icon in the top right corner of your screen as shown below.

3. Then click on Print.


4. You will get the Print window like the one shown below. If you have a printer, then make sure that Microsoft Print to PDF is selected before clicking on Print.

If it is not selected then click on Change...  and select Microsoft Print to PDF from the options you will get.

5. Once you are done with that, then click on Print.

6. You will get an option to save the PDF file. Type File Name of the content you want to save as PDF file and choose a File destination.

Make sure that Save as type is set to PDF Document (*.pdf). Refer below image for more details.



7. Once you are done with that finally, click on the Save button and you are done.
